Coaching
In coaching, you create and implement your own development plan independently, as a result you know exactly what you want.
The coach supports you on this path - helps you explore yourself, understand your true goals, realize your strengths, take a fresh look at your experience, and use all this to come to the life you want to live.
Coaching does not provide specific recommendations.
A coach is a specialist who asks the right leading questions. The coach does not give answers. You find them yourself. Because they are already inside you.
Coaching is aimed at deep and long-term results. Coaching also has practices, feedback and homework.
Career counseling
Career counselors provide ready-made answers based on your requests. And these answers are good when you need a quick answer to questions where you have no expertise. But when it comes to serious career changes (relocation, changing professional fields, changing positions), it is important that you understand that these are your decisions, that you really want this and that it suits you perfectly, taking into account your condition, resources and what kind of life you ultimately want to come to through your career.
This is your responsibility, your changes, and your life.
A career counselor can help you with advice and recommendations on career building, resume preparation, interview preparation. Can give you recommendations on resources, can help you determine the choice of a new professional direction. Suitable when you need a quick answer to your questions.
Mentoring
In mentoring, you build your experience by following someone else's example.
A mentor can guide you and share his experience. But it will be his experience, not yours. It will suit you if you want to become/do/implement your business the same way your mentor did, avoid the mistakes that your mentor may have made.
In mentoring, the mentor must have expertise in the field where the mentee wants to develop. It's about the approach: "Teach me to do like you."
The mentee looks at the mentor and, taking into account his experience, recommendations, vision and the plan they made together, moves forward.
Mentoring is suitable for situations where a person has no experience in the matter, so he relies on the ready-made work model of another person
All these specialists are important and necessary, but each of them solves their own task. It is important not to confuse them. And not to work with a specialist who is not intended to solve your particular problem
